What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Bed Center/Access Case Manager PRN position at Augusta Health Brand?
- This role collaborates with physicians and hospital leaders to ensure prompt, safe, and appropriate assignment of patients to a hospital unit.
- The Access Case Manager performs admission clinical reviews which support the physician in determining the medical necessity of hospitalization and the appropriate hospitalization status.
- Position discusses potential admissions with physicians and coordinates transfers with outside facilities and arranges transfers between the different units within the hospital.
- Position plays an important role in the collection of throughput data and the identification of admission delays and reports admission and discharge data at Safety Huddle.
- Position reviews the pre-operative charts to ensure that an appropriate status order is in place.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum of three years relevant nursing experience.
