LPN Summary of Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Deliver and document nursing care, medications, and treatments per licensure and care plans. Monitor residents’ conditions and request RN assessments when needed.
- Leadership and Coordination: Perform charge nurse duties, adjust staffing as necessary, oversee resident health status, and participate in care planning and follow-up.
- Staff Support and Evaluation: Cover staffing gaps, provide performance feedback, and uphold confidentiality.
- Other Responsibilities: Maintain on-call status and promote a positive organizational image in all interactions.
RN Summary of Responsibilities:
- Care Assessment and Planning: Assess resident needs, identify problems, and develop comprehensive care and discharge plans in collaboration with physicians and families. Adjust interventions as necessary and prepare for emergencies.
- Resident Care: Set goals, deliver nursing care, administer medications, and document responses. Delegate tasks, adapt to emergencies, and support non-RN personnel in resident care.
- Education: Teach residents, families, and staff about care plans, safety measures, and emergency protocols, addressing learning barriers.
- Decision-Making: Use sound judgment to solve problems, communicate effectively, and propose improvements in care, efficiency, and cost management.
- Supervision: Lead and evaluate staff, assign tasks based on skills, and ensure quality care delivery while fostering a safe and cooperative environment.
- Professional Development: Follow company policies, maintain accountability, and pursue self-development through training and participation in staff meetings.
- Records and Reporting: Establish and maintain resident records, ensure compliance with guidelines, and submit necessary reports for billing and reviews.
- Other Duties: Support a professional, harassment-free environment and perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
