What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Sterile Quality Assurance Coordinator position at Augusta Health?
Responsible for maintaining standards as related to the decontamination and reprocessing of specialized instrumentation used in the Operating Room. Ensures that all surgical instruments are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a timely manner. May have access to areas where medications are stored and / or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties. Serves as the Orthopedic and Spine lead, for tray preparation and quality management. Serves as a resource for shift leads and technicians. Assists in quality improvement and education of the department. Assists the CS Director and CS Educator with quality assurance and performance improvement activities at Augusta Health and Outpatient Pavilion.
Hours are 3pm-11pm, with potential rotating shifts.
