What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Informaticist III position at Augusta Health?
Primary responsibilities of the Clinical Informaticist are to assist the organization in the implementation, redesign and maintenance of the current EHR. As well as assist in quality improvement strategies to improve patient, and provider satisfaction as well as improved patient outcomes. Final to applying best practices to the management of the clinical information system life cycle and facilitate strategic clinical information technology to support excellence in patient care.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Advanced degree APRN or MS in nursing preferred
Licensure / Certification
Current VA RN License
Certification in Clinical Informatics preferred with previous clinical informatics experience.
Experience
- Prior experience with quality improvement processes required
- Prior experience with Health Information Technology required
- 5 years' experience in a clinical setting (inpatient or ambulatory)
