What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Project Management position at Augusta Health?
The Director of Project Management manages the Project Management Office (PMO) and has oversight of all projects assigned to the PMO. The Project Management Director will work independently with the PMO team to plan, direct, coordinate and manage specifically identified projects. This position is responsible for all goals and objectives of a project including completion within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This position also has oversight for the Process Improvement projects and activities that the organization pursues. These activities include kaizen event planning, facilitation, and follow up as well as department specific rapid cycle improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (healthcare or business) required.
- Master's degree in of Business Administration, Health Administration, Nursing Administration, or related field preferred.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
