What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Mechanic I position at Augusta Health?
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems and Equipment at the Main Hospital building, AHOPP Building and as well as all satellite facilities. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs various types of heating, ventilation. air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Participates in the hospital preventive maintenance (PM) program. This is a Third shift position and may require covering other shifts as needed. (Weekends as needed)
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Formal HVAC System Training in air conditioning and refrigeration systems from a Vocational School or Military Technical School preferred.
- Water Cooled Chiller Training from equipment manufacturers such as Trane, Daiken, McQuay or Carrier preferred.
Licensure / Certification :
Experience :
Minimum of three (3) years commercial or industrial facility operations and maintenance (O&M) experience required.
