Essential Job Duties :

Possess Good Working Knowledge of Radiology Documentation and EMR Systems

Creates canned text in both systems per department processes
Create, assign, trouble shoot auto text templates for radiologist’s default reports
Prepare addendum and assigns to radiologist queue as needed
Generates Canned Text Reports :
Enters canned text for Nuclear Cardiac SPECT reports within EMR
Enters canned text reports for procedures imaged in Pain Clinic and OR
Enters cancellation notification reports for outpatient exams cancelled after registration in Nuance

Works as Team Player

Training new hires and assisting current team members as needed

Runs Daily Log List

Checks daily log for unread exams and troubleshoots until reports are completed

Runs Daily Contrast List

Enters daily contrast charges in Meditech Pharmacy module for CT and MRI departments

Prepares addendums for contrast and DLP errors / omissions for AMG radiologists and assigns to appropriate radiologist’s queue

Prepares addendums for contrast and DLP error / omissions for Outside Reading group following their process to complete addendum

Notifies CT / MRI supervisor of missing IV insert documentation daily

Assists Supervisor with :

Updating Department Credential Book :

Print updated certification or licenses each month and update in department book

CT Chest Low Dose Screening Program :

Enters follow up codes in Meditech, generate follow up letters to patient and physician

Manages patient follow-up tracking and report generation

Assist in Nuance Peer Review reporting process :

Run Nuance report send stats to Department Director send and report to ACR

Charge Reconciliation :

Assure Bath County exams charges correlate with images sent to be read

Run Radiology Exams with Modifier Report :

Applies correct modifier in BAR

Reviews exam list for appropriate charging, unbundling, etc.

Assists with Nuance Failed Report :

Run EMR and Nuance reports to assure all reports flow to EMR correctly

Make report corrections on signed reports :

Ordering physician, exam charge, etc.

Assumes responsibility for assigned role and extra duties as assigned.

Performs other related activities as requested by the Radiology Supervisor or Radiology Director.

Participates in maintaining Augusta Health values, indicators, and employee expectations.

Minimum Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications :

Associate’s degree or higher

Radiology coding and / or billing experience
