Job Description:
As a Landscape Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic and health of landscapes for our clients. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks ranging from mulching, weeding, and planting to project work and site clean-up. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively with the team, ensuring the highest level of service and quality is consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mulching: Apply mulch to landscape beds, trees, and garden areas to promote healthy plant growth and create a polished, well-maintained appearance.
- Weeding: Remove weeds from planting beds, lawns, and other outdoor areas to ensure a clean and tidy landscape.
- Planting: Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants, following project plans and customer specifications.
- Project Work: Participate in landscape installation and improvement projects, including hardscaping, sod installation, and garden layout design.
- Cleanup: Perform general landscape maintenance duties such as debris removal, leaf blowing, and overall site clean-up to leave each property looking neat and well-kept.
- Equipment Use: Operate landscaping tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and hand tools, safely and efficiently.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional, courteous service to clients, answering any basic questions they may have regarding the work being performed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping or horticulture is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of various plants, mulching techniques, and general landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate landscaping tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves outdoor work and lifting.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
