What are the responsibilities and job description for the Judicial Case Manager position at Augusta-Richmond County?
Provides clerical support and record keeping duties within the guidelines of Georgia laws governing the Probate Court. Works directly with the Probate Judges, Clerks, state employees, legal professionals, the public and other county employees to provide support.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Creating and maintaining case files, including assigning case numbers and assembling documents.
- Recording and indexing court documents, such as wills, administrations, guardianships, and other related matters.
- Organizing and maintaining various filing systems, including retrieval and replacement of files.
- Ensuring accurate and complete records are kept for all court proceedings.
- Scheduling court dates and preparing notices and correspondence.
- Issuing citations and other court documents.
- Perfecting service upon interested parties.
- Appointing Attorneys and/or Guardian Ad Litems as needed in cases and obtaining reports as required.
- Preparing forms for gun permit applications and marriage licenses.
- Answering phones, greeting the public, and providing information as permitted by law.
- Assisting the public with locating records and filing documents.
- Responding to inquiries and resolving customer issues.
- Processing payments such as collecting court fees and fines.
- Generating and tracking invoices.
- Issuing marriage licenses and other permits.
- Performing other clerical tasks as assigned by the Probate Judge.
- High school diploma, trade school, or equivalent level of education.
- 1-3 years experience in a similar position or sufficient experience to perform principal duties and responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer skills and data entry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of probate court procedures and legal terminology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
