JOB SUMMARY:
The PPD Sales & Trade Show Specialist will report directly to the PPD Manager and serve as a key hybrid role in both outside and inside sales. This individual will be responsible for managing internal account organization, supporting sales reporting, coordinating trade show participation, handling show samples, and maintaining an organized and efficient process for sales efforts. The role will also require attending trade shows to drive brand awareness and engagement with key customers. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for supporting key accounts and other assigned accounts as needed to ensure continued business growth and satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
- Drive new customer acquisition through both inside and outside sales activities.
- Nurture relationships with existing customers and support account growth.
- Conduct sales calls and meetings, both in-office and on-site, to achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team and PPD Manager to align account strategies.
- Organize and maintain accurate customer and account data within CRM systems.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the sales team and internal departments.
- Monitor account health and escalate issues as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Take responsibility for the support and management of key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and providing proactive solutions.
- Work closely with the PPD Manager and sales team to develop strategies that support key account growth and retention.
- Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Provide support for additional accounts as needed, ensuring all customers receive attention and service to drive growth and satisfaction.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of account strategies for newly assigned or underperforming accounts.
- Plan, organize, and manage logistics for trade shows and other events.
- Coordinate the preparation and shipment of show samples, ensuring they align with brand messaging.
- Oversee inventory and manage the ordering process for trade show materials and samples.
- Track and analyze sales performance data.
- Prepare regular sales reports for leadership, highlighting key insights and opportunities.
- Identify trends and work with the PPD Manager to implement improvements in sales strategies.
- Attend relevant trade shows, conventions, and industry events to represent the company.
- Develop new leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers during shows.
- Provide feedback and insights to the sales team regarding customer needs and market trends.

- Expertise in managing all aspects of trade show logistics, including booth setup, sample preparation, and event coordination.
- Ability to handle pre-show, in-show, and post-show activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Knowledge of the processes involved in organizing and executing successful trade show participation.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure all trade show materials, promotional items, and samples are ready for the event.

- Strong verbal communication skills to represent the company and its products effectively to a wide audience.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members, including sales staff, marketing, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth trade show execution.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that trade show goals align with overall sales objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including preparation for trade shows, meeting with clients, and reporting sales activity.
- Capable of handling tight deadlines and last-minute adjustments leading up to or during trade shows.
- Proven experience in inside and outside sales, with a focus on customer acquisition and relationship management.
- A background in selling or promoting products/services, particularly in a B2B environment.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in managing or attending trade shows or industry events.
- Hands-on experience in booth setup, event coordination, and engaging with prospects and customers at events.
- Willingness to travel extensively to trade shows and related events.
- Ability to manage logistics of travel, including accommodations, transportation, and schedules.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, or similar) for managing accounts and reporting on trade show outcomes.
- Comfortable inputting data during and after events to ensure follow-ups are timely and organized.
- High level of attention to detail in planning and organizing trade show participation and materials.
- Ability to keep track of inventory for show samples, brochures, and promotional items.
- Quick-thinking and able to troubleshoot problems that may arise before or during a trade show.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected changes in events or travel plans.
- Familiarity with the promotional products industry and related market trends.
- Ability to speak confidently about products and services related to the industry.
- Experience in handling event or project management, particularly in sales or marketing settings.
- Strong networking skills, with the ability to generate leads and follow up post-show to convert leads into long-term clients.

WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time, Exempt: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM travel
- Competitive base pay package commensurate with experience
