JOB SUMMARY:
The Trimming/Inspect position ensures that decorated headwear orders are correctly and efficiently trimmed, inspected, and prepared for packaging and shipping. This role involves following established trimming and quality control standards while working closely with the Embroidery Machine Operators and Supervisor to resolve any quality, production, or efficiency issues. The role also includes assisting with machine operations when needed and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
- Receive embroidered headwear orders from Embroidery Machine Operators and verify that the order is correct and complete.
- Inspect finished goods efficiently, maintaining a standard of 400 pieces per day.
- Follow trimming procedures, including tearing out backing, removing foam, and aligning caps for finishing/packing.
- Ensure correct embroidery thread colors and design orientation are applied.
- Initial work order boxes indicating that inventory is complete and properly embroidered.
- Communicate any quality issues in real-time to the Embroidery Operator or Supervisor.
- Keep the work area clean and clutter-free.
- Assist other team members as needed and work collaboratively to ensure production flow.
- Maintain a working knowledge of cap styles and embroidery techniques.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and adhere to deadlines.

- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions is extremely important. The QC/Trimmer must be able to read and count accurately, do basic math, and write legibly.
