JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Logistics Analyst is responsible for coordination of logistics, compliance, and customs clearance of materials within a global supply chain framework. This role ensures the timely movement of goods, compliance with customs regulations, and coordination of shipments to maintain the company's operational efficiency and goals for customer service, ordering efficiency, and inventory investment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):

  • Works with import vendors and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of goods and approves container bookings.
  • Ensure all relevant shipment information is accurately reflected, including delivery dates.
  • Follow up with vendors for on-time delivery, adjusting schedules as necessary, and ensuring customers are provided with the most updated and accurate information.
  • Communicates daily with import vendors to address service issues and expedite goods when needed.
  • Works with distribution center (DC) receiving personnel to ensure goods are processed efficiently and containers are delivered at the appropriate times.
  • Work closely with logistics providers to ensure smooth cross-border shipments from Central America.
  • Coordinates with internal teams and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods from ports to the company’s facilities.
  • Works with brokers and transportation providers to ensure that all necessary customs documentation is submitted on time, including pro-forma 7501 forms prior to vessel arrivals.
  • Tracks and manages transit information, advising planners on any necessary updates to MRP system dates.
  • Ensures outbound shipments meet SLA expectations and resolve mis-shipments or delays in transit.
  • Coordinates loss and damage claims with Audit and Carrier providers, as well as internal Customer Care team.
  • Generate reports detailing on-time, cost, exceptions and other KPIs as required.

 

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field is preferred, or 2 years of experience in purchasing and logistics for finished goods.
  • Experience with M3 ERP systems and managing import/export compliance.
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, including HTS codes and US Customs compliance processes is preferred.
  • Experience working in logistics, transportation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Extended periods sitting at a desk working on a computer, processing data, and communicating with vendors.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling paperwork, and manipulating objects.
  • Ability to hear and communicate verbally, especially via phone and email to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to focus on detailed information for extended periods, requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Remote/Hybrid

 

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time, Monday- Friday: 8:00AM-5:00PM.  This role will be able to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will work in our Statesville, NC office on Tuesdays-Thursdays.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be requested during busy periods.

 

DRESS CODE:

  • Dress appropriate.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
