JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks to support the efficient operations of the facility and equipment. This includes troubleshooting and repairing distribution, facilities equipment, and assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement processes, while adhering to company policies and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on stock chasers, conveyor systems, and other operational equipment.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests, performing corrective maintenance and emergency repairs on stock chasers, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Repair or replace devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.
• Conduct minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including replacing filters in HVAC systems, light bulbs, and ballasts.
• Oversee and facilitate work done by trade contractors when necessary.
• Perform general upkeep such as painting, trash pick-up, and floor maintenance on an as-needed basis.
• Follow work order instructions for repairs, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facility equipment.
• Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after all processes.
• Report any system downtime exceeding 30 minutes to the Facilities Manager.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, further technical education preferred.
• 5 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical, and PLC-controlled machinery repair.
• Computer skills with the ability to operate tablet technology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and general mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Ability to safely operate motorized carts and equipment.

• Works in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse (hot in summer, cool in winter)

• Full-Time, Monday- Friday: 11:00AM-7:30PM
