Overview
A local health facility in Augusta, GA is hiring a Procurement/ Warehouse Specialist!!! This position will be responsible for helping with orders to assist with inventory as needed. This position will work Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM!!! PAYING $18.00/HR!!! Temp to hire opportunity!!!!! Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Distribution of supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals necessary for the operation of the Health District, including 13 County Health Departments.
- Assures compliance with purchasing laws, storage rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping of all types of materials and supplies.
- Maintains inventory control and maintains inventory controls records to ensure timely delivery.
- Screens, receives, stores, inventories, and distributes surplus property.
- Transports vaccines and other medication adhering to O.C.G.A. $16-13-72 and CDC Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, and Sections B,C,D,E of the Drug Dispensing Procedure from the manual Nurse Protocols for Registered Nurses in Public Health. Oversees proper receipt and storage of vaccine and drug shipments; prepares vaccines and drugs for transport; assures appropriate storage of drugs and vaccines per manufacturer's recommendations; monitors temperature and environment of drug and vaccine storage; uses appropriate refrigerator/freezer; disposes spoiled or expired vaccines or drugs; documents transport and receipt of drugs and vaccines.
- Maintains records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken in the Ticketing system and other forms of communication as it relates to the Purchasing and Warehouse Department.
- Delivers and transport supplies.
- Determines proper storage methods, identification, and location based on turnover, environment factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Marks items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
- Assist with the coordinate the operations of the Districts warehouse
- Knowledge of procurement software practices a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma/aged AND 2 years of job-related experience.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience working in different web browsers
- Possess good time management skills, and handle multiple projects and prioritize
- Verbal communications, listening, multi-tasking, general math skills, promoting process improvement, problem solving, thoroughness, quality focus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and a member of a team.
- Motivated, self-starter, with a positive attitude
- Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Job functions require the following physical demands: lifting to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
