Augustine Asset Management seeks an Investment Operations Analyst to support the investment team and colleagues across the firm. The Analyst assists portfolio managers through portfolio and securities analytics, investment strategy implementation, and oversight of portfolio accounting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio & Securities Analytics
- Design and prepare analyses for use by the investment team and for external communications.
- Support the investment team on projects to improve investment analyses and decision making.
Investment Strategy Implementation
- Implement investment strategy changes, client capital flows, and asset allocations using the firm’s portfolio accounting and order management systems.
- Manage risk through strong procedural discipline and prudent judgement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- Identify and introduce process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Portfolio Accounting
- Oversee outsourced portfolio accounting workflows.
- Create and distribute periodic and ad-hoc reports.
- Prepare information and presentation materials for the firm’s client reporting and marketing activities.
General Operations
- Liaise with external service providers (e.g., portfolio accounting, securities custody, and executing brokers).
- Learn and develop skills while performing strategic projects and ad hoc assignments.
- Assist other areas of the firm to support investment, compliance, client, and marketing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate must have high integrity and ability to consistently place the interests of clients first in judgment, decision making, and actions.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic track record.
- More than two years of experience in investment operations or a related role.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to think systematically.
- Ability to independently acquire, structure, and analyze data.
- Diligence and commitment to accuracy.
- A self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projects.
- Desire to learn, improve, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office product suite. Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with equity and fixed income securities preferred.
- Experience with financial information systems such as Bloomberg or LSEG preferred.
- Experience with investment portfolio accounting and trading systems preferred.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation commensurate with experience and skill set. Base salary $75,000-$90,000.
