Description : Summary
The EVS supervisor is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team and ensuring that high cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the casino and nearby buildings, either personally or through subordinates. Assigning duties, inspecting finished work, educating team members, controlling inventory, and ensuring proper team scheduling is essential. The EVS supervisor will also effectively motivate and inspire a housekeeping crew by communicating expectations clearly and responding to issues with empathy and professionalism. The supervisor will also assist in managing OSHA and SDS data to guarantee compliance.
Responsibilities
- Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Conduct frequent inspection of the casino and public areas to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Areas include casino back-of-the-house, Temalpakh Farm, and the Tribal Administration building.
- Periodically inventory supplies and equipment.
- Investigate new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
- Communicate policies and procedures and ensure compliance by team.
- Report facility problems and required preventative maintenance.
- Lead by example.
- Continually coach and support team members to ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources to successfully complete their jobs.
- Train and develop staff through coaching, counseling, positive, and corrective disciplinary actions.
- Assist with various leadership functions to include hiring, coaching, discipline, training, terminations, ordering of supplies and payroll.
- Assist in the completion of team member evaluations as outlined in company policy.
- Must be available for emergency calls.
- Augustine Casino is open 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Shifts and work hours are assigned based on the needs of the business and are subject to change at any time.
