Summary
- Responsible for maintaining stock, assisting during service, and providing go-to support for all your bartenders' needs.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent Guest Service.
- Adhere to all ABC regulations.
- Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes.
- Report to Bartender on duty at scheduled bar.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of bar.
- Prepare all mixes and garnishes.
- Stock all glassware, condiments, beer, paper products and other necessary items needed for efficient operation.
- Assist Bartender in preparation of drinks as necessary.
- Fill in for Bartender’s breaks as necessary.
Skills/Abilities
- Able to perform quality work, efficiently and with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Good Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all personality types.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Provide effective and friendly service to customers.
Qualifications/Education/Experience
- Minimum 6 months experience as Barback or similar experience in F&B.
- Ability to read write and communicate verbally in the English language.
- Ability to recognize, handle and accurately exchange currency (make change)
- Food Handlers Card and Responsible Beverage Service certifications are required.
- High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience in related field.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the bar and casino, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Work is performed in an environment which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and dimly lit.
- Constant contact with staff and customers. Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
