Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Cloud Engineer to serve as part of ACI’s Government Program that supports PEO Soldier.
Position Description:
This role involves managing AWS cloud services, migrating applications and databases, troubleshooting enterprise tools, and providing technical support for TAK servers, TAK federations, and environment security/authentication tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in Linux administration, cloud security, and IT helpdesk support while working closely with multiple teams to ensure smooth system operations. A successful ACI Cloud Engineer will perform the following functions:
- Manage TAK servers and federations, ensuring seamless interoperability and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Deploy and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools for enterprise and tactical environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot certificate chains, PKI, and encryption protocols for secure communications.
- Set up and support VPN tunnels and network security configurations for remote access.
- Assist in the deployment, management and migration of enterprise databases to PostgreSQL or RDS
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and security of Red Hat based Linux OS (Oracle Linus 9 and CentOS).
- Support AWS cloud-based infrastructure, including RDS, EFS, ECS, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Utilize AWS CLI, CloudFormation, and Systems Manager to automate deployments and IT operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist with Active Directory and Windows Server management for enterprise tools.
- Support end-user issues related to TAK applications on mobile devices and desktop environments.
- Perform deployments of VMware and AWS templates for Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure compliance and cybersecurity best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Due to the sensitive nature of this work, a US Government clearance is required, and all applicants must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Must possess a High School diploma and 14 years' experience or, Associate’s degree and 12 years' experience or, Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' experience or, Master’s degree and 0 years' experience.
- 2 years of experience in cloud administration, IT support, system administration, or network support.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services (RDS, EFS, ECS, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration (file systems, CLI commands, system monitoring, troubleshooting).
- Understanding of certificate chains, PKI, encryption protocols, and VPN protocols.
- Experience managing and migrating PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and zero-trust principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and user support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, CompTIA Security , Linux .
- Hands-on experience with TAK servers and TAK federations.
- Experience in government or defense IT environments.
- Knowledge of Apache Web Server, Active Directory, and Windows Server tools.
- Familiarity with Linux-based TAK server deployments and automation tools.
- Experience using Palo Alto Networks to provide security for network traffic.
- Familiarity of CloudWatch Dashboards/Grafana and Nagios XI

Pay Band Information:
$75,800 - $150,900
