Proposal Manager

Augustine Consulting Inc., (ACI) is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of systems engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, self-starting inidividual to serve as a part of the Company’s Corporate Staff to lead, manage, and develop federal proposals. The ideal candidate will have a lifelong commitment to discovery, self-growth, and learning. We prefer the Proposal Manager to work from our Corporate headquarters in Hamilton Township, NJ but will consider remote work locations as well. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s solutioning and responses to requests for proposal from the customer 
• Manage the proposal team from bid decision through award and hand off to the program manager 
• Configuration control, compliance manager, and publisher for all proposal documents 
• Create and execute a proposal management plan 
• Lead color team reviews (Black Hat, Blue Team, Pink/Red/Gold Reviews) 
• Facilitate Green Team reviews with the pricing team 
• Lead solutioning sessions; identify customer priorities and win themes 
• Manage all meetings as part of the proposal process 
• Manage communication with entire proposal and technical team 
• Ensure all proposals and meetings are brand compliant

Required Qualifications:

• At least five years of experience leading proposal responses for Federal Proposals 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills 
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices for proposal management and development 
• Proven experience developing high scoring, compliant proposals 
• Deep understanding of Shipley Business Development Process 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills 
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite to include creating style guides that facilitate ease of proposal development 
• Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure complete mission success 

 Desired Qualifications:

• Association of Proposal Management Professional (aPMP) certified (Practitioner or professional level) 
• Extensive experience in organizational communications as a leader 
• Substantial leadership experience through military service or corporate leadership 
• Worked within an ISO 9001:2015 environment 
• Application of the Shipley method of proposal management or analogous approach

Pay Band Information:

• Salary range:  $62,000 - $143,000

The ACI pay range for this position is a general guideline only, and not a guarantee of a specific compensation. Factors that influence the pay offered to a specific candidate for this position include, but are not limited to, federal and state laws; federal government contract labor categories and contract wage rates; relevant prior work experience; a candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors; geographic location; education; and certifications.
