Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, self-starting Test Engineer to serve a tour Systems Integration Lab supporting the Department of Defense.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will have opportunities to interface with senior level customers, warfighters, and leadership while performing the following functions:
- Plan and manage assignments, progress, and evaluate results.
- Conduct integration and test activities of application software on multiple platforms that include System Drivers, Android devices, Windows, and Linux machines..
- Develop detailed Software Test Plans and prepare Test Reports.
- Participate in software design and development meetings.
- Analyze and identify system level integration issues, and resolve issues and dependencies in a team environment.
- Conduct detailed interaction and follow through actions with development teams for issues and requirements
- Conduct testing on software builds and report functionality and interface issues.
- Understand Apps and functionality of Apps as a complete system.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and classification/characterization of defect findings, then enabling software development teams to investigate/fix further.
- Ensure software builds represent military tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Evaluate test data, assess risks, and develop test result summaries for leadership briefings, Suitability Statements and Milestone Decisions.
- Ensure all Government test planning documents are uploaded to the appropriate databases.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and various stakeholders to identify and resolve problems that cause failures.
- Provides feedback on test trends, returns and vendor performance.

Required Qualifications:
- Possess either a High School diploma and 14 years' experience, an Associate's Degree and 12 years' experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' experience.
- Lab and hands-on Debugging Exposure.
- Ability to support occasional travel.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with one or more of the following development tools/environments is desired: Android SDK, .NET SDK, OpenGL, FFMPEG, and SQLite.
- Domain experience in geospatial systems (i.e., moving map display), geo-positioning devices, advanced GPS technology, tactical networking, and/or mission planning solutions desired.
- Experience with mobile applications, Android OS, and Windows preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Mission Command and Control Software to include Nett Warrior, ATAK, WinTAK, Mounted Computing Environment, Command Post Computing Environment, Blue Force Tracker, GPS, Geospatial, Military communications.
- Strong team player with ability to collaborate, adapt, and contribute in a highly dynamic environment.

Pay Band Information:
$70,600 - $150,000
