What are the responsibilities and job description for the RENEWABLE ENERGY INTERN position at AUI Partners?
As a Renewable Energy Intern, you will be working directly with project team members and will have the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge with hands-on experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who have a desire to continue their future in Renewable Energy construction.
Please note this is a paid internship. Office location is at our headquarter office Fort Worth, TX .
Responsibilities :
- Assist Field / Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
- Attend project meetings with project personnel, operations management team, and client / owner representatives
- Conduct safety audits and quality audits
- Read and understand drawings and specifications
- Log submittals, process RFIs and prepare reports
- Coordinate material deliveries and documentation
- Assist in preparing memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents
- Assist with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and / or suppliers for information and pricing
- Assist with all project documentation and data entry tasks
- Assist with the coordination and communication with subcontractors and vendors
- Represent AUI with the highest standard of professionalism at all times
- You will provide a presentation to the management team at the end of your internship to provide insight into your experience.
- Perform other duties as needed
- May be required to travel to jobsites.
- Actively pursuing a bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or renewable energy / electrical engineering.
- A desire to continue pursuing a career in the construction industry (Renewable Energy preferred)
- Strong computer skills are a necessity
- Coachable and willing to learn
- Can work in a team or individually
- Be available to work full-time during the internship period and travel / relocate to job sites (Per diem offered when travel is required)
- Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Drivers License and state minimum auto insurance required as you may have to travel to a jobsite
- Reliable transportation required
