LAUNDRY AIDE

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Deliver linen carts from the dock and to the floors or other areas as required; May weigh up to 400 lbs
• Load exchange carts with linen from the bulk carts
• Hand fold or stack linen when necessary
• Gathering of dirty linen from chute rooms
• Operates tugger in a safe and effective manner
• Washing and drying of mops and rags
• Expected to report any and all mechanical issues with equipment
• Good physical condition with no limitations that could prevent the employee from stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and constantly being on their feet
• Communicates professionally with multiple levels of staff and maintains positive work relationships
• Utilizes infection control/isolation techniques and P.P.E. as appropriate
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to coworkers
• Addresses issues in a timely manner

·         Able to communicate effectively and can read, write and follow oral and written instructions

·         Willing to work rapidly and accurately to meet patient needs

·         Observes Aultman Hospital dress code and wears identification badge

·         Complies with hospital attendance standards

• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

·         High school graduate or equivalent. Complete required organizational and unit competencies as assigned.

·         Excellent customer service, computer and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ADDENDUM

O = Occasionally = 0- 33% of the work shift or   0- 32   repetitions.

F = Frequently = 34-66% of the work shift or 32-200 repetitions.       

C = Constantly = 67-100% of the work shift or 200 repetitions.
