PURPOSE OF POSITION
Patient Account Representative for medical physician practice billing focusing on insurance payers.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS:
· 8:00am – 5:00pm M-F or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends and off -shifts
· Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
· Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ADDENDUM

· Manage outstanding accounts receivable for clients and/or assigned payers. · Research and resolution of insurance denials for electronic and paper claims. · Research, prepare and send appeals for payment to payers · Help identify denial trends to prevent loss revenue · Apply Credits to appropriate accounts · Contact physician offices when appropriate for information or guideance · Follow all Policies and Procedures |

· CPC/RHIT certification-preferred · Medical office billing experience, PC skills, excellent customer service skills, analytical abilities, excellent attendance |
