PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under the direction of a physician or radiologist, performs the specific section procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the prescribed diagnostic imaging equipment for production of high-quality images. Assume responsibility for procedures as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
• Serves as consultant in area of Radiology.
• Assures patient confidentiality.
• Subject to frequent interruptions during performance of duties.
• Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the unit.
• Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff to maintain adequate unit coverage.
• Expected to adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Expected to fulfill position description and requirements.
• Possible exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians.
• Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of imaging services.
• Assists with patient transport throughout the unit.
• Performs ordering of unit supplies in cost effective manner.
• Scans documents into patient charts.
• Communicates effectively with team members.
• Prioritizes duties effectively and efficiently.
• Assists physicians in patient visits and procedures.
• Assures the correct patient is having the procedure performed.
• Performs technical component of the procedure.

• Consistently cleans equipment and restocks procedure rooms.
• Participates in the instruction of student radiologic technologists.
• Accepts additional duties and responsibilities within the scope of practice.

•High school graduate
• Completion of an accredited college and meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Certified by the ARRT.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the mission and values of Aultman Hospital.
• Demonstrates the knowledge for safe operations, maintenance, and repair of equipment related to assigned job duties/responsibilities.
• Completion of an accredited college and meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Certified by the ARRT.

• Demonstrates the knowledge for safe operations, maintenance, and repair of equipment related to assigned job duties/responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• 6:30am-4:30pm Mon.-Friday hours of operation. Variable start and end times. No holiday, weekend, or off shift rotations.
• Works collaboratively with Pain Management providers, referring physicians and other disciplines.
• Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
• Sitting/standing/moving/ lifting about during working hours.
