Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that each drink is made to perfection.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale systems.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and communication.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
