Front of the House Cashier

Position Overview:

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Front of the House Cashiers to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, the Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a positive dining experience by providing excellent service, managing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Shift: 9 Hours on Thursday and Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and answer any questions about the menu, specials, and promotions.

• Provide prompt and friendly service to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Cashier Operations:

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and other payment methods.

• Process orders quickly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy.

• Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed.

• Ensure the cash drawer balances at the end of each shift and report discrepancies to management.

Dining Area Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including counters, tables, and floors.

• Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, juice, soda, and other supplies as needed.

• Ensure the dining area is clean, presentable, and ready for customers at all times.

• Ensure the bakery fridge is organized, stocked, and if not, inform the supervisor of what is needed.

Communication and Coordination:

• Communicate customer orders clearly to kitchen staff for accurate preparation.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

• Inform customers of wait times, specials, or changes to the menu.

Conduct and Professionalism:

• No earbuds or headphones are allowed during shifts.

• No cell phone usage, including texting or calls, is permitted in the front-of-house area during work hours.

Other Duties:

• Assist with packaging and handing out takeout orders.

• Perform other front-of-house tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
