Our US regional office in Farmington, MI is looking to hire a talented FA (Failure Analysis) Engineer to join our growing Quality department.
Job Description :
1. Responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and finding out the root-cause of display failures.
2. Aims to improve product reliability and prevent future failures and testing.
3. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing to ensure product reliability and performance.
4. Failure analysis / Root cause analysis / data collection / corrective action recommendations / testing and validation.
5. Reporting and documentation.
6. Provide timely FA (Failure Analysis) results in an 8D format (specific to customers' requirements).
7. Understand how each part is utilized in the vehicle build and become the “expert” regarding what customer expects from us as a supplier.
8. Ability to contain / isolate / sort the suspect products at the customers production location according to the scope and risk of the preliminary FA.
9. Train quality auditors on proper inspection methods, acceptability, and handling.
10. Champion problem resolution meetings for customer complaints.
11. Travel will be required based on program / customer responsibility.
Requirements : Required :
- Understanding and ability to perform FA (use of Oscilloscope / DMM / Optical Microscope / Multi-meter).
- Understanding of problem-solving principles (3L5W, 8D, FTA).
- Familiar with circuit diagram, with EE background.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize activities and manage deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint is a must).
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Familiar with circuit diagram, with EE background.
- Experience in participating in quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and work effectively as part of a team.
