Summary/Objective:
The BCBA Supervisor works with the Director of Clinical Services and a team of BCBAs, Mid-Level Supervisors and Registered Behavior Technicians to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The Supervisor consults, provides training to caregivers, and conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients.
The BCBA Supervisor is required to adhere to the BACB’s Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts® as well as all regulatory and statutory rules of California Department of Health Care Services.
Essential Functions:
- Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of evidence based behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures
- Develops individualized goals and objectives for programs and designs behavior intervention plans based on functional assessment data
- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
- Trains clinical staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems
- Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with BCBAs, Mid-Level Supervisors and Behavior Technicians.
- Conducts monthly team meetings with all employees and Parent / Caregiver present
- Provides consistent parent / caregiver training using various curricula based on behavioral approach
- Directs and monitors supervisee competencies and performance
- Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Aura Behavioral Health, LLC’s policies and state and federal regulations
Additional Functions:
- Meets regularly with the Director of Clinical Services and notifies them immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction
- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as required by regulatory parties and as requested by the Company
- Participates in meetings and activities to promote company initiatives
- Seeks further training and participates in professional development
- Interactions with co-workers are professional and conducive to an ethical environment
- Actively communicates Aura Behavioral Health, LLC’s outreach efforts to community
- Oversees and directs the scheduling of Supervisors and Behavior Technicians as needed and ensures proper billing
- Travels to and partakes in regional events as necessary
- Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner

Required Education and Experience:
- A master's degree and educational coursework completed in applied behavior analysis, child development, special education, psychology, or related field.
- Certification from the BACB®
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of NET, DTT, PECS®, Assent-based intervention and other ABA strategies.
- A minimum of three years' experience working directly with children with autism and/or developmental delays.
- A minimum of one-year experience supervising RBTs.
- Experience in various challenging behaviors including aggression, self-injurious behaviors, elopement, etc
- Fluency with administering and scoring criterion-referenced assessment/curriculum (e.g. VB-MAPP®, ABLLS-R®, AFLS®, etc) and norm-referenced assessments (e.g. Vineland®, etc)
- Experience with Central Reach data collection and practice management platform (preferred)

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Moderate to high stress levels
- Work fluctuates between a center and home environment. Regular contact with Parent / Caregiver /community members and outside agency personnel.
- Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Aura has both full-time and part-time positions available. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Weekend presence is rare and specific to clinical necessity. Hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule.
Travel
This position requires up to 50% travel (at least 60 miles) moving to and from treatment locations in the residential and metro area (i.e., in-home, in-school, in-clinic, etc.) The remaining 50% of work may be conducted through telehealth.
