We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation of the dental office. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient payments and verify insurance eligibility, including Medicare.
- Utilize office management software such as Open Dental for patient scheduling and record management.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and communication.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and managing phone systems.
Qualifications
- Previous is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are highly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient population.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for patients.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software; experience with Open Dental is an advantage.
