Want to bring ideas to life? You’re in the right place.
Aurecon is a leading design, engineering and advisory business. We recognise that the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from local communities to the sustainability of our clients’ global businesses.
Our Engagement and Change Advisory practice works with clients across a range of sectors to solve complex challenges through industry-leading stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, transformation and change management services.
How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As a key member of our Engagement and Change Advisory team, you’ll be a trusted partner to a diverse range of government and private infrastructure organisations, delving deep into their challenges to co-create solutions that help shape the future. You’ll communicate the value of a wide range of critical infrastructure projects, connect with diverse stakeholder groups and support the change that underpins the success of Australia’s infrastructure projects and organisations – including energy, resources and transport.
Here are the key things you’ll do:
- Work in a dedicated Perth-based team across a variety of projects and sectors. Collectively our team has worked across transport, government, mining and energy, and defence, with a focus on complex and strategic infrastructure projects.
- Partner with our clients to provide advisory and consulting services for projects where social outcomes and community impact are front of mind.
- Exercise outstanding interpersonal skills to develop relationships with a wide range of clients and critical internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to prepare communication, engagement and organisational change materials.
- Prepare events and workshops for internal and external stakeholders, including being part of community facing events and stakeholder workshops.
- Support a pipeline of future opportunities by contributing to the development of client proposals.
What are we looking for from you?

You may be interested in transitioning from another communications-based role or from a sales, marketing or graphic design role. You may even want to transition from another industry entirely and you can see the synergies from your experience to date with developing sound communication materials or engaging with stakeholders to inform decision making.
To be successful in this position you will ideally have:
- A passion for listening to the wants and needs of others to make better overall decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, including attention to detail in your writing.
- Developing experience in communicating complex ideas by translating them into plain English
- An intermediate-to-high level of proficiency in MS office tools, an interest in or experience with customer relationship management systems, an interest or experience in social and digital media management and we would love you to have experience in In-design.
- Initiative and a can-do attitude
- A desire to work in a dynamic team that is focussed on delivering the highest quality outcomes for clients
- A relevant tertiary qualification or experience.
