What will you do?
Due to the continued workload and growth opportunities in Western Australia, we are currently looking for an Engineering Geologist with an understanding of local geology and with geotechnical site investigation experience for transportation, Defence, mining, renewable energy and marine infrastructure to join our team. The experience and knowledge you bring will be well regarded and you will play a crucial role in the delivery of a variety of high-profile infrastructure projects. Specifically, you will:
Undertake geological and geomorphological site assessments and provide geotechnical recommendations based on these
Plan, coordinate and manage site investigations and contribute to the delivery of high quality, on-time geotechnical investigation reports
Prepare health and safety documentation for site inspections and geotechnical investigations
Prepare ground models with 3D geological modelling software
Assist with recommendations for design of foundations, slopes, earthworks and other geotechnical structures
Work closely with our network of senior professionals, eminent engineers and experienced drafters to share your knowledge and broaden your skillset
Actively contribute to and be a pivotal component of our high performing, friendly and collaborative culture
Actively contribute to our Ground and Underground Engineering discipline on a range of local and international digital and other strategy initiatives.
What can you bring to the team?
Sound understanding of Western Australian geology with the ability to undertake detailed site geological reconnaissance and mapping
Experience in the planning, management and undertaking of geotechnical site investigations; experience logging soils and rocks to AS 1726:2017
A tertiary qualification in engineering geology or civil/geotechnical engineering
A strong personal commitment to Health and Safety in geotechnical projects and strict adherence to HSE procedures;
A passion to deliver a variety of high-quality projects in a collaborative team environment
Highly developed communications skills and an ability to manage relationships with colleagues, clients and other project stakeholders.
