As our new Lead Secondary Design Engineer – Substations based in Sydney, you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based in Sydney on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to varied and challenging projects locally in Sydney and across Australia.

Conduct, lead, review and verify detail designs and technical reports for the client, including HV / LV Substations at transmission and distribution level.
Lead and deliver the concept to detailed Design of substation / Transmission and distribution systems.
Key areas of focus include transmission and distribution substations' electrical design, encompassing multiple disciplines.
Liaise with clients and contractors in relation to project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution.
Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems. Integration of BESS at grid level is a plus.

What are we looking for from you?
Bachelor degree qualification in electrical (or related) engineering.
ASP3 qualification is a plus but not mandatory
5-10 years experience in Transmission and distribution design, preferably in a consulting environment.
Knowledge of the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities
Strong electrical design knowledge;
Proficiency in offering solutions to technical challenges. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective influencing, motivation, and delegation skills."
Ability to work well with others to deliver as a team.
