As our new Principal Drainage Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design drainage and waterways across a spectrum of challenging infrastructure projects in WA.

Your role will include:

• Help develop, mentor and coach team members

• Lead drainage projects across our WA (and wider) business, support the wider Infrastructure team providing engineering designs for complex industry leading projects,

• Deliver and oversee hydraulic designs and hydrological assessments for a range of projects from concept stage to construction completion,

• Look to develop relationships or strengthen existing relationships with key stakeholders to win and deliver work across WA,

• Have a confident understanding of Australian standards and regulations, including liaison with local Authorities, experience locally in WA will be highly regarded but is not essential,

• Collaborate within a multi-discipline global team to deliver high value outcomes for clients across a broad range of markets in the private and public sector,

• Preparation of engineering designs, specifications calculations and reports,

• Grow your own technical expertise and eminence and develop your skills in the latest software and tools including 12d, Open Roads Drainage, Drains, Tuflow, HECRAS 1d & 2d or other packages as necessary.

As well as experience in a similar drainage engineering role, you will also have:

• Looking to step into a Lead or Associate / Principal role as a drainage engineer where your skills will be valued and expertise put to good use,

• Extensive experience (>10 years) in the design and delivery of drainage and / or waterways, with demonstrated Western Australian Drainage and Waterways knowledge, or the ability to demonstrate other relevant and applicable knowledge that can be applied in WA.

• Experience in some of the following software packages will be highly regarded: 12d, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, TUFLOW, with an attitude to learn and develop your skills in those or other packages

• A relevant technical qualification and technical post tertiary qualifications
