As our new Principal Drainage Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design drainage and waterways across a spectrum of challenging infrastructure projects in WA.
Your role will include:
Help develop, mentor and coach team members
Lead drainage projects across our WA (and wider) business, support the wider Infrastructure team providing engineering designs for complex industry leading projects,
Deliver and oversee hydraulic designs and hydrological assessments for a range of projects from concept stage to construction completion,
Look to develop relationships or strengthen existing relationships with key stakeholders to win and deliver work across WA,
Have a confident understanding of Australian standards and regulations, including liaison with local Authorities, experience locally in WA will be highly regarded but is not essential,
Collaborate within a multi-discipline global team to deliver high value outcomes for clients across a broad range of markets in the private and public sector,
Preparation of engineering designs, specifications calculations and reports,
Grow your own technical expertise and eminence and develop your skills in the latest software and tools including 12d, Open Roads Drainage, Drains, Tuflow, HECRAS 1d & 2d or other packages as necessary.

As well as experience in a similar drainage engineering role, you will also have:
Looking to step into a Lead or Associate / Principal role as a drainage engineer where your skills will be valued and expertise put to good use,
Extensive experience (>10 years) in the design and delivery of drainage and / or waterways, with demonstrated Western Australian Drainage and Waterways knowledge, or the ability to demonstrate other relevant and applicable knowledge that can be applied in WA.
Experience in some of the following software packages will be highly regarded: 12d, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, TUFLOW, with an attitude to learn and develop your skills in those or other packages
A relevant technical qualification and technical post tertiary qualifications
