Job Overview:
The Senior Configuration Analyst is responsible for planning and executing a variety of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. This role involves test planning, design, and execution. The Senior Analyst supports complex testing efforts and acts as a backup for the Manager when necessary. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will configure products, business rules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces to support business processes as outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare requirements documentation for system modifications.
- Advocate for the use of qTest, JIRA, and test automation, including Mob Test Design.
- Possess expertise in one or more of the following domains: Lifepro, EOE Systems, or Automation.
- Test configuration changes made by other Analysts and facilitate user acceptance testing for system modifications.
- Collaborate with the Forms group on requirements for New Business/Service forms on Electronic Order Entry (EOE) systems, Orion, and Lifepro.
- Support production LifePro and EOE systems for problem resolution.
- Handle requests for new CUSIP numbers and coordinate with other areas until completion.
- Support distributor data needs and set up new distributors on EOE Systems.
- Configure products and funds on EOE systems and/or Lifepro.
- Lead in supporting production data issues reported by distributors or the LifePro Production area.
- Implement forms and product changes.
- Provide a list of carrier questions to be displayed on the platforms.
- Potentially act as a project lead on EOE projects and New Product or Rate Change Projects.
- Update EOE Platform.
- Provide weekly status reports on ongoing and future projects.
- Update project testing status in Qtest and JIRA.
- Participate in carrier forums to stay current on industry changes and report updates to the Manager.
- Assist the Manager with scheduling projects for EOE platforms.
Testing Tasks:
- Conduct unit tests for projects requiring complex knowledge and experience.
- Analyze and review requirements and technical work products.
- Define test plans and coordinate testing with QA testers.
- Identify adequate end-to-end testing for product and forms changes.
- Execute unit testing for EOE platform and product changes.
- Validate test results, record, and research defects.
- Prioritize, define, and manage defect reporting and resolution.
- Coordinate testing with distributor platforms.
- Use qTest and qTest eXplorer to create tests, execute them, and log defects.
- Use JIRA with Confluence to plan and execute project workflows.
Support Tasks:
- Assist user departments with basic and complex questions.
- Help the Manager with onboarding new broker-dealers, banks, or other financial service entities on distributor platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Monitor platforms, their performance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience preferred.
- Experience with policy administration systems required (must have experience with one or more of the following policy admin systems: LifePro FAST, ALIP, OIPAS, or AS400).
- Configuration experience within a policy admin system is highly desired.
