Aureon Consulting has an immediate need for a Sr Project Manager who can report to an office in Des Moines, Iowa 4 days a week. Client prefers prior experience supporting IT Actuarial Projects.
Candidates with the following skills and experience highly preferred.
Track record of success delivering complex IT projects
ITIL experience
Preferably has Service Management experience
MUST BE a strong facilitator, not looking for a coordinator or project analyst.
Must be available to work onsite
PURPOSE :
Manages to successful completion, any projects or sub-projects as assigned within the Actuarial department. Manages the definition, development, and delivery of information technology business projects, which meet the requirements, costs, and schedules as approved in the project plan.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Develops, oversees, and measures the projects work effort, to include scope, quality, time, cost, resources, communication, risk, hardware / software needs, integration
- Leads the project by : requesting resources based on the projects needs managing the work activities of the projects resources following sound project methodologies / company policies o implementing the resulting solution to the satisfaction of the client(s).
- Utilizes the client specific work environment tools, including IT, HR, Time Entry, and other systems.
- Develops a project and communication plan for each project, which involves the client and impacted departments.
- Keeps appropriate parties informed of the projects progress and problems.
- Presents to senior management the status of the project, expected outcomes, and project risks.
- Monitors the status of specific sub-projects related to the overall project incorporating that into overall plan.
- Creates and / or modifies project reports using the client specific reporting tools.
- Creates project performance metrics related to expected outcomes.
- Follows and adheres to company defined IT standards and procedures.
- Mentors and coaches less experienced Project Managers.
