What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Technology Sales position at Aureon?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and Implementing Sales Strategies: The VP of Technology Sales will create and execute the overall sales strategy, aligning it with the company's overall business objectives. This includes identifying target markets, setting sales goals, and determining the best approach to reach potential customers.
- Managing the Sales Team: This involves recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and motivating the sales team. They are responsible for building a high-performing team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Setting Sales Targets and Quotas: The VP of Sales will partner with the CRO and CFO to establish realistic and achievable sales targets for individual sales representatives and the team. This will include developing quotas to incentivize and drive sales performance.
- Forecasting Sales: Analyze market trends, historical data, and sales pipeline information to accurately forecast future sales revenue. This is critical for budgeting and resource allocation.
- Managing the Sales Budget: Develop and manage the sales budget in partnership with CRO, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support sales activities.
- Monitoring Sales Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, customer acquisition cost, and sales cycle length. Analyze this data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the sales strategy.
- Building Relationships with Key Customers: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborating with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, operations, sales support, IT, and voice of the client teams to ensure alignment and achieve overall business goals.
- Staying Up to Date on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and new sales techniques to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Sales Operations and Technology: Partner with CRO to oversee sales operations, including CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems and other sales technology tools, to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
- A proven track record of success in sales, often with experience in various sales roles, including sales representative, sales manager, and/or sales director.
- 5-7 years of professional experience managing B2B sales teams
- 5 years of experience in Telecommunication or IT Networking sales
Preferred
- MBA or equivalent degree
- 7-10 years of experience managing a telecom or IT services sales team
- 7 years of experience in Telecommunication or IT Networking sales

- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Primarily indoor work primarily in office environments
- Valid Driver’s license, safe driving record and ability to travel frequently
- Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen
