What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration & Test Engineer position at Auria?
Auria is actively seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to support developing and testing the Enterprise Management and Control (EM&C) system in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will perform Integration and Testing tasks, ensuring that different software components work together seamlessly within the larger EM&C architecture. The main goal is to ensure that various technologies and subsystems produce a cohesive solution that meets the technical requirements of the program. Occasional travel to customer and government sites is expected with this position.
Essential Functions:
- Quality Assurance – Design, implement, and maintain manual and automated tests to streamline workflows and boost efficiency.
- Testing and Validations – Execute manual and automated tests to ensure integrated systems function properly and troubleshoot integration issues, including performance bottlenecks, compatibility problems, and security vulnerabilities.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify technical debt, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing systems, proposing and implementing solutions to optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Documentation and Communication – Produce essential system documentation and effectively communicate complex technical details to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement – Participate in Scrum/Agile processes, contributing to collaborative and iterative development cycles. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, stay updated with industry trends, and incorporate feedback for ongoing system refinement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
- Experience with the development process, including debugging, testing, and integration of software tools including but not limited to Postman, SoapUI, and Selenium.
- Experience working with API development and enterprise systems, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a capacity to predict, identify, and solve issues efficiently with minimal oversight from program management.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive system documentation, including design descriptions, requirements specifications, test plans, user guides, and other engineering documents.
- Familiarization with DOD space systems and subsystems, including systems, products, and interfaces across ground and space components.
- Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills that provide the capability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
- Familiarity with automated test and test-driven development concepts, tools, and languages.
- Experience performing other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and interacting with software engineering in that role
- Experience with modern IT infrastructure capabilities, including virtualization, cloud deployment, and containerization.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence.
Salary Range:$95,000 - $125,000
- Engineer Level 3: Typically, a Bachelor's degree and six or more years of relevant experience, Master's degree with three years of experience
