What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Aurora Audiology & Speech Associates, Inc.?
Per Diem position, Early Intervention and CPSE caseload. Primarily looking for therapists to service children in Springville and Gowanda. Other areas are great, too. You choose which cases you would like to take, and schedule them for when it works for you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic services to children aged birth to 5 years in their most natural environment.
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
- Work in diverse settings such as client homes, family day care homes, day care centers, or other community settings.
- Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)/ Individualized Education Program (IEP), plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents.
- Prepare progress reports as per program timelines.
- Maintain client records.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- NYS License in Speech/Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Initial or Permanent NYS Public School Teacher Certificate, in the area of Speech and Language (required to provide services to children 3-5 years of age)
- 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary
- Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.
