Come join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System . This 138-bed free standing psychiatric inpatient hospital and outpatient program located in Tempe, AZ is looking for a highly motivated Financial Counselor . The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and accomplish assigned tasks. This position is under the supervision of the Business Office Manager.

The Financial Counselor ensures that accurate financial information and documentation is available and ensures all patients are advised of their financial responsibility. Duties include but are not limited to :

INDLOW

• Verifying insurance benefits and translating the information to the client
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills - verbal and in writing
• Collections of deductible / copays
• Processing of credit card payments
• Account research and inquiry assistance
• Ability to make sound financial arrangements according to the hospital's financial policy
• Professional communication with internal / external clients, Physician's and team members
• Excel and Word computer skills a must
• Behavioral Health experience is preferred
• HEA and AZ AHCCCS experience a plus

This is not an entry level position and only experienced candidates will be considered.
