What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Custodian position at Aurora Community Church?
Job Duties:
1. Maintain and clean all 13 bathrooms prior to Sunday morning services and large events.
2. Maintain and clean all 6 Early Learning Center bathrooms prior to Monday morning opening.
3. Maintain clean windows and glass doors throughout the building.
4. Empty garbage and recycling receptacles throughout the building weekly or more as needed.
5. Clean spills and other messes as needed.
6. Back-up for Facilities Manager for opening/closing the building for events.
NOTE: The above duties are not intended to be an all inclusive list, other duties may be assigned from time to time and some duties may be allotted to other staff as we build our team in the future.
Skill Requirements:
1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods
2. Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
3. Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
4. Time-management and multitasking abilities
5. Physical strength and stamina

Position shall demonstrate the ability to work with a wide range of different individuals, including but not limited to: teaching staff, lay ministry leaders, volunteer workforce, and church staff.
Must be cooperative, highly committed to effective use of communication tools, overall team player, absolutely committed to giving the end result to the final glory of God.

Summary
As a Church Custodian, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our congregation and community. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your core responsibilities will include cleaning and general custodial duties. Strong communication and organizational skills are vital as you manage your time effectively to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
