What are the responsibilities and job description for the 6-12 Band Director position at Aurora High School?
The Aurora R-VIII School District is seeking applicants for the position of High School Head Band Director for the 2025-26 school year. Perferably a specialist in percussion or brass, in addition to having jazz band experience. The position includes grades 6-12. Applicants must demonstrate student-centered philosophy on education and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position. Aurora follows a 4 day school week, Monday - Thursday. Benefits include Board-paid health insurance stipend, paid sick/personal leave days, and cafeteria plan.
