The Aurora R-VIII School District is accepting applications for an Industrial Technology position (Grades 9-12) for the 2025-26 school year. The applicant will possess an appropriate certification, demonstrate a student-centered philosophy on education, and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position.
The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in utilizing the Engineering By Design Curriculum, Foundations of Technology and Technological Design. The current classes emphasize materials, tools, and processes in wood fabrication. Also available for the program: 3D modeling software, materials processing lab with traditional equipment (woodworking), CNC machine, 3D printing, and VEX robotic equipment. The Aurora R-VIII School District is a 4-day-a-week district, Monday-Thursday. Benefits include: Board-paid health insurance stipend and paid sick/personal leave days.
