Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We're searching for a Senior Hardware Test Engineer.
In this role, you will
- Develop and implement test methodology for verifying and validating hardware operation of complex systems.
- Work directly with Aurora's HW and SW Embedded design engineering teams to create validation test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Plan, evaluate, and purchase required test equipment for validation work in the lab.
- Perform component, board, and system level electrical, functional and characterization measurements.
- Deploy automated scripts / software to test systems, analyze data, and create test reports.
- Investigate failure root cause and help drive product improvements.
- Support hardware design team with bring-up, experiments / evaluations, and measurements.
- Support and train junior team members with troubleshooting, measurements, and testing.
- Presenting and documenting the test reports and test plans, review the schematic and HW architecture;
- Directing junior-level and assisting senior-level engineers on various projects;
- Setup a test rack with networking on linux based OS

The base salary range for this position is $181,000.00-$290,000.00 per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
