This team is responsible for developing cutting-edge technology that enables vehicles to operate autonomously. As a Staff Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing online algorithms that dynamically update map content based on perceived lane boundaries and construction blockages. You will also work on updating routing plans based on unexpected construction observed online, producing smooth paths that can be used as initial seeds for motion planning trajectory optimization through construction and other unexpected circumstances. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of software engineering principles, including C and Python programming languages. Additionally, they will have experience with robotics systems, including coordinate frames and system dynamics. The ideal candidate will also have technical leadership skills, although people management is not required. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our technology.
