About the Role:
The Wellness Practitioner (NP) plays a crucial role in promoting holistic health and wellness within the community of Cape Girardeau. This position involves assessing patients' health needs, developing personalized wellness plans, and providing ongoing support to help individuals achieve their health goals. The practitioner will ensure a comprehensive approach to client care, focusing on long term results and education. By utilizing evidence-based practices, the Wellness Practitioner will empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and lifestyle. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the overall well-being of the community through proactive health management and education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in holistic health practices or wellness coaching.
- Prior medical spa, plastic surgery, or dermatology office experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Clinical evaluation of client considering weight loss or hormone therapy
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, labs and evaluations for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized wellness plans based on client needs and goals.
- Provide education and resources to clients regarding nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust wellness plans as necessary to ensure optimal health results.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for accurately evaluating patients' health needs. Excellent communication skills are vital for educating patients. Organizational skills will be utilized to manage multiple client wellness plans and track progress over time. Preferred skills, such as knowledge in holistic health practices, will enhance the practitioner's ability to provide comprehensive care. Overall, a combination of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills will enable the Wellness Practitioner to foster a supportive environment that encourages patient engagement and health improvement.
- This is a full time position, expected to work 36-40 hours per week.
- Shifts include a mix of 8 and 10 hours weekday shifts every other Saturday from 8:30-2pm.
