Job Summary: Aurora Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Coordinator/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of TMS therapy to patients diagnosed with depression and other mental health conditions. The TMS Coordinator/Technician will work closely with our medical providers and clinical team to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care. This position involves both technical responsibilities in operating TMS equipment and interpersonal skills to guide patients through their treatment journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
· TMS Therapy Administration: Perform and monitor TMS treatment sessions following clinical protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
· Patient Interaction: Engage with patients pre- and post-session to answer questions, address concerns, and provide a welcoming environment.
· Equipment Management: Set up, calibrate, and maintain TMS equipment according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and regulatory requirements.
· Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate and manage patient appointments, track attendance, and follow up with patients regarding treatment sessions and appointments.
· Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document treatment sessions and patient responses in the electronic health record system, reporting any adverse effects or unusual responses to the appropriate healthcare provider.
· Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and internal policies, maintaining strict confidentiality and a safe treatment environment.
· Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and clinical staff to provide feedback on progress and any noted changes, ensuring coordinated patient care.

Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
· Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in mental health or a therapeutic role; experience with TMS or similar technologies is a plus.
· Certification: TMS training will be provided.
· Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
o Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to document patient sessions accurately.
o Comfort with medical and technical equipment, as well as basic computer skills for scheduling and documentation.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, assist patients in and out of treatment chairs, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions: This position is primarily based in an outpatient mental health clinic, with standard hours typically Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required based on patient scheduling needs.
