Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a dynamic Clinical Manager to lead and support our Southeast Counseling Center (SECC). The SECC offers evidence-based interventions to adults in an outpatient setting, providing individual, couples, and group therapy for a wide range of presenting problems. The center fosters and values collaboration within a team-based model. As Clinical Manager, you will oversee a large team of licensed and unlicensed therapists, as well as a case manager, with the support of a clinical supervisor. Your responsibilities will include providing both administrative and clinical supervision, as well as ensuring the financial and operational success of the team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by guiding a dedicated team in delivering high-quality care to our clients.
$7,000 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on full-time (40 hours/week). Prorated if fewer than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on the first paycheck, 50% on the paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Shift. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule working 2-3 days in the office and the rest of the week from home.
About you.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of managing strong performing teams, developing strong supervisory relationships, excellence in collaborating and coordinating across teams, and strength in change management.
Essential Functions:
- Manager Accountabilities: Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction. Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accord with organization guidance. Monitor work schedules and receive and approve requests for time off based on work volumes and staffing schedules. Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from sr. leadership to lower levels in alignment with organization strategy and goals. Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
- Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills, including providing clinical supervision to therapists, and other team members as appropriate.
- Work cooperatively with all staff to provide a comprehensive range of services and ensure the smooth transition of clients from one service to another, including handling referrals and assignment of cases to therapist.
- Handle complaints from clients and community agencies in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
- Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
- Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.
- Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
- Advocate for organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
- Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
- Understand and adhere to budget for program.
- Staff member will complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a license eligible field.
- Preferred: Doctoral degree in a license eligible field.
- Three years' experience working with population served by clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in behavioral health setting.
- Licensure: Current Colorado licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD). For substance abuse disorder (SUD) and Jail Based Behavioral Health teams, Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or above required. One of the preceding licensures from another state is acceptable if in the process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will have prior to six-month anniversary with Center.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Trained and experienced in screening, assessment and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.
Required Vaccinations and TB Test.
AMHR has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of the flu shot and negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.
- Licensed Psychologist: $109,443.05 - $142,352.50 per year
- Licensed Therapist: $79,814.59 - $109,219.97 per year
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.

Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
