The Residential Services team at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is a 24/7 operation dedicated to creating a safe, trauma-informed space where clients can engage in treatment and receive the support they need. AMHR is seeking a Clinical Manager to lead the Residential Services team, overseeing two facilities—one with 15 beds and another offering longer-term stays with 8 beds. This key leadership role ensures high-quality client care, adherence to regulations, and the cultivation of a supportive staff environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and has a solid understanding of ALR regulations and QMAP requirements. Additionally, they should demonstrate leadership rooted in AMHR's core values and have a balanced approach to managing the complex needs of a 24/7 care environment.
Schedule. This position is fully onsite/in-person. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. The schedule requires flexibility, as this is a 24/7 program.
Essential Functions:
- Manager Accountabilities: Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction. Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accord with organization guidance. Monitor work schedules and receive and approve requests for time off based on work volumes and staffing schedules. Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from sr. leadership to lower levels in alignment with organization strategy and goals. Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
- Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills, including providing clinical supervision to therapists, and other team members as appropriate.
- Work cooperatively with all staff to provide a comprehensive range of services and ensure the smooth transition of clients from one service to another, including handling referrals and assignment of cases to therapist.
- Handle complaints from clients and community agencies in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
- Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
- Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.
- Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
- Advocate for organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
- Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
- Understand and adhere to budget for program.
- Staff member will complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in a license eligible field.
- Licensure: Current Colorado licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD). One of the preceding licensures from another state is acceptable if in the process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will have prior to the six-month anniversary with the company.
- Three years' experience working with the population served by the clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets the organization's requirements.
- Required QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel). Must obtain QMAP certification within 30 days of hire. AMHR provides the required training, and employees must successfully pass the certification exam to meet this requirement.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Trained and experienced in screening, assessment and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
At AMHR the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. As part of this commitment, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.
- Licensed Psychologist: $119,392.42 - $142,352.50 per year
- Licensed Therapist: $79,814.59 - $109,219.97 per year
