Are you a compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist looking for flexible PRN shifts in a fast-paced crisis setting? Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking dedicated clinicians to support our Crisis Services/Walk-In Clinic (WIC) and Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). In this critical role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide individual, group, and family therapy, and deliver immediate, trauma-informed interventions to stabilize clients in crisis. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will perform triage assessments, gather collateral information, and ensure clinically appropriate dispositions to the least restrictive, safest environment. Salary for this role. Wage is based on years of licensure and company equity. Shift differentials are available for certain shifts.
Our Crisis Services division is part of a statewide crisis initiative that provides resources for mental health, substance use, and/or emotional crisis help, information, and referrals. Our crisis services include a Walk-in Crisis Clinic that provides mental health assessments and referrals for individuals experiencing any self-defined crisis. We also operate a 24/7 16-bed (current capacity is 9 due to COVID-19) adult Crisis Stabilization Unit that provides bed-based mental health treatment, as well as a 4-bed-based adult respite program for individuals in crisis (currently closed due to COVID-19). All employees who work in Crisis Services are expected to work on-site with clients, and are provided with all necessary PPE.

- Licensed Therapist: $31.98 - $43.76 per hour.
- Licensed Psychologist: $47.83 - $57.03 per hour.
- Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50/hour
- Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
- Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25/hour
- Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.00/hour
- Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $5.00/hour

Essential Functions
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual, family and/or group therapy with assigned clients.
- Develop and monitor treatment plans; update at required intervals.
- Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.
- Provide clinical case-management services as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention as appropriate. Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.
- Assist clients to evaluate strengths and symptoms, and set their own goals.
- Guide and instruct clients in coping skills.
- Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
- Ensure that billing information is up-to-date for assigned clients. Seek insurance authorization for services as required.
- Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases.
- Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers.
- Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in professional counseling from a program that’s accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), or CSWE (Council on Social Work Education).
- Licensed Therapist and Psychologist: at least two years of clinical experience providing care including conducting individual, family and/or group therapy.
- Professional licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC.), Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PSYD).
- Knowledge of theories and evidence-based practices related to clinical treatment.
- Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record with proficiency.
- Solid understanding of mental illness and treatment modalities within a multidisciplinary approach.
- Knowledge of DSM-V.
- Ability to understand and effectively respond to all client presentations and crisis situations.
- Ability to document interactions with clients, other agencies, and mental health professionals.
