What are the responsibilities and job description for the INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR position at Aurora Parts?
SUMMARY
Leads team to complete all inventory management & cycle count activities and the movement of product into kit form and completion. Assists with any identified inventory issues in the building.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule & accomplish all required cycle counts to include scheduled, discrepancy, returns, etc.
- Plan and schedule kit production.
- Manage inventory grids, consolidation, & parts presentation to facilitate inventory accuracy & quality/picking efficiency within the warehouse.
- Resolve unidentified parts & manage inventory accordingly.
- Perform all production order software transactions.
- Assist the Operations Manager in the End of Month process.
- Verify & resolve inventory variances reported by cycle count associates.
- Adhere to general safety requirements of Aurora in all work performed.
- Proper operation of mobile equipment used to complete counts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executives of Aurora.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises several subordinates within inventory management & kit. Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems from all employees within the scope of inventory management/kit.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, and AS400 with DST software
- Excellent attendance
- Must be comfortable speaking to groups of 15 – 20 people.
- Good working knowledge of inventory and cycle count functions.
- Able to interact with people from both warehouse and office
- High school diploma or equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Work is normally performed in a warehouse work environment.
- Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Infrequent air/land travel may be required.
- Generally limited exposure to physical risk.
- Comfort with working at heights required.
